Background Information

Possibly one of the most well-kept secrets of Japan, furoshiki clothes are extremely useful and are primarily used for easily carrying small goods. Although the history of furoshiki use dates back hundreds of years, they are still fairly common in Japanese society today.

Furoshikis as Gift Bags

Japanese cloth doubles as a second gift. When presenting an item to someone, you can wrap it in furoshiki wrapping, which acts as a gift wrap that the receiver can keep.

All and all furoshikis are an incredibly useful piece of material that you and everyone would enjoy.
